Dear Marketing Department:

 

We are currently seeking sponsorships for our 2011 show season and would like to count on you for support.

 

We started hosting small psychic fairs in Berkley, MI in 2000 and held them off and on through 2006 when we started hosting them consistently every month and have been ever since.  There had been a company that had hosted large expos for 28 years in the metro-Detroit area and retired in January 2009.  The community was at a loss without this show.  At that time, we were asked by the metaphysical, spiritual and holistic communities to step up and start hosting the large expos.

 

Our very first expo was held at the Macomb Sports & Expo Center in Warren, MI on Saturday, April 25, 2009 and utilized approximately 40,000 square feet.  At this expo, we had an attendance of 1200 plus 43 readers, 70 vendors, 18 body workers, and 13 speakers.

 

We ventured out to host our second expo at the Porter County Expo Center in Valparaiso, IN on October 31 - November 1, 2009.  This type of expo was brand new to the area.  It utilized approximately 15,000 square feet and had 700 attendees plus 13 readers, 30 vendors, 3 body workers, and 13 speakers.

 

In 2010, the community across the board, in all states, had experienced a downturn in overall attendance and vendor participation by approximately 50%.  Our shows were equally affected.  Even so, for 2010, in addition to our monthly psychic fairs in Berkley, MI, we hosted the following expos:

- March 27-28, The Centre, Evansville, IN

- May 1, Macomb Sports & Expo Center, Warren, MI

- August 28-29, The Centre, Evansville, IN

- October 2, Macomb Sports & Expo Center, Warren, MI

- October 30-31, Porter County Expo Center, Valparaiso, IN

- December 4-5, Alcazar Shrine, Montgomery, AL

 

In being recognized by the community and our peers, we have assisted and participated in the following 2010 expos:

                 - April 24 Michigan Mayfest, Wayne County Fairgrounds, Belleville, MI

- October 16-17 Women’s Health, Beauty, & Fitness Expo, Rock Financial Showplace, Novi, MI

 

For 2011, we will hold the following expos:

-Evansville, IN on March 26-27
-Lincoln, NE on June 11-12
-Evansville, IN on August 27-28

-Novi, MI on October 15-16  (approx a 33 booth 5000sq ft pavilion @ the women’s expo)

-Valparaiso, IN on October 29-30
-Montgomery, AL on December 3-4

-And, we have two more pending.

 

For 2012, and beyond, we anticipate hosting all of the above shows and adding many others as we expand throughout the United States.

 

We attempt to take advantage of every opportunity to market these expos.  In 2009, our advertising consisted of our website, 25,000 printed flyers handed out in the surrounding cities and neighboring counties and states plus newspapers, trade journals, newsletters, postcards, press releases, online postings, word of mouth, other expos, private groups and clubs, churches, plus 1000+ printed applications and 3,000+ emailed applications, and any other form we found conducive to the overall well being of the expos including radio and television ads.  A lot of the advertising was remunerated while only some was complimentary.  We traveled to other expos from Cincinnati, OH to Traverse City, MI and from Allentown, PA to Skokie, IL advertising and networking to hand pick readers and vendors for the expos.  In 2010, we had 70,000 flyers printed, 1500+ printed applications and 3,500+ emailed applications, plus all of the above modes with an expanded travel area to accommodate the additional locations in promoting the expos.  For 2011, along with the above methods, we anticipate printing 100,000+ flyers and 3,000+ applications.
